Clover's Extended Pedigree

When we saw this doeling up for sale we couldn't pass her up! She is being added to our breeding program for her heavy milking lines and udder genetics. Clover's dam, Chloe, has an extremely capacious & butter soft udder. She milked 4 lbs. on her first milk test! Dam's Milk Production record: 2-01-253-1004-58-(5.8%)-40(4.0%). Clover is very dairy with good depth to body capacity, good ribbing, a very nice front end assembly, sharp withers, tight shoulders, and good general appearance. Her rump could be a little more level, but that could change with maturity. Thanks so much, Gianaclis for evaluating her & for letting Clover join our herd!

Clover has been bred to Old Mountain Farm Cavalier for January '09 kids. This breeding pulls together lots of mammary/milk potential into one package!

Joyful Hearts Esther

SIRE: Twin Creeks BW Montego Bay +*S

DAM: Rosasharn TL Esterlina

Esther's Extended Pedigree

Esther shows us a lot of dairy character which is to be expected with her milky background. Esther is long and level with lots of width between the hocks, a beautiful front end assembly and good brisket extension as well as having good spring of rib and length and width. She is an improvement over her dam and we look forward to seeing her freshen in 2009. Her dam, Esterlina, had a socked on udder, with large easy to milk teats and a soft texture to her udder. With so many successful show animals and productive milkers in Esther's background, I don't see how we can go wrong with this girl! Not only she is a real cutie, she has tons of personality, too.

Esther has been bred to Old Mountain Farm Zip Code for Spring 2009 kids. We are not 100% sure though that Cody was up for the job. Time will tell. If not, we will try again next year. This is a line breeding on MCH Twin Creeks BH Bay Watch ++*S 'E', combined with a lot of Stonewall and Goodwood, with Rosasharn thrown in for good measure. Should be beautiful kids!! Esther is Bay Watch's Granddaughter and Cody is his Great Grandson. Bay Watch produced many outstanding proven milking daughters, and sons who produced the same. One of his daughters, Fantasea, was the AGS Reserve National Champion in 2006. His offspring consistently produce strong MSL's and capacity. Bay Watch is now deceased so we feel blessed to have some of his genetics in our herd. If she settled, we will retain a doe kid, possibly a buck as well.

DAM: Sandy Hollow CS Cherry Blossom
( Rosasharn GX Cashew *S x Sandy Hollow SU Hopscotch 7*D )

Sugar's Extended Pedigree

Sugar is our most promising 2008 Jr. Doe! We love this doe! She is very dairy, being angular, long and level with a wide escutcheon and good legs & feet and tight toes, with sharp withers and long, level rump. She has a very sweet temperment which is being passed down from both her sire and dam. We were so pleased with our Blossom/Gideon cross that we have repeated it for 2009 kids! Sugar's pedigree is chock full of successful show animals and very productive milkers, which include ARMCH Rosasharn's Uni genetics top and bottom!! Sugar has been bred to our most promising Jr. Buck: Old Mountain Farm Cavalier for March '09 babies. They should be stunning! We will retain a doe & possibly a buck kid.

Lace 3 months

AMF Queen Anne's Lace

DOB: May 10th, 2008 (triplet)
AGS, ADGA
Chocolate with frosted ears and white tip on her tail

SIRE: Fairlea Barnaby Rudge *S
(Rosasharn's Julius +B *S x ARMCH Fairlea Gretchen 2*D AR1948 'E' (91.1) )

DAM: Jobi Lacie
(Rosasharn SS Unity *S x Jobi Laci)

Lace's Extended Pedigree

This little lady loves to hear herself talk! She has an opinion on just about everything! haha Lace has a beautiful chocolate coat, with just a touch of white frosting on her ears, a white tip on her tail and light frosting on her nose. She is actually quite a bit darker chocolate than her clipped photo reflects. As you can see Lace is a very feminine doe with loads of dairy character. She is long bodied with a level topline and nice long and level rump. She has flat bone, good spring of rib and very loose, pliable dairy skin. She has the same coloring as her paternal GrandSire, Rosasharn's Julius +B *S . I am hoping he passes down his amazing udder genetics along with that coloring, though Lace's dam, Jobi Lacie has a beautiful, socked on udder with large teats that express easily.

Lace's sire, Fairlea Barnaby Rudge *S is out of ARMCH Fairlea Gretchen who carries the longevity that we are breeding for. Gretchen comprises three generations of MCH does ~ Heidi (grandmother) ~ Gretchen (mother) ~ Fleur (daughter) (see photo's below). With these lovely udder genetics top and bottom we certainly have high expectations for this doe!! She will be bred for Fall '09 kids to Old Mountain Farm Cavalier, a very stylish and correct buck.

"Be diligent to know the state of your flocks and attend to your herds;
for riches are not forever,
nor does a crown endure to all generations.
When the hay is removed and the tender grass shows itself,
and the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,
the lambs will provide your clothing and the goats the price of a field;
you shall have enough goats' milk for your food,
for the food of your household,
the nourishment of your maid servants."
Proverbs 27:23-27
