Napua's Extended Pedigree

ADGA Genetics Page

I knew I would be keeping this doe the moment she was born. She is so flashy, and lovely! Napua is long and stretchy, with a level topline, natural uphill stance, very good shoulder assembly, excellent dairy character, with flat bone, and great general appearance. She has nice tight toes, excellent feet, though typical for her bloodlines she does have a slight toe out, and an extremely correct rear leg set. A broader muzzle would give her a prettier head. I did not realize that Napua had moonspots on her left side until her clipped coat has begun growing back in. Her sire was covered from head to toe with them, so not surprised she inherited a few! I'd like to see a tad more width, but she still has a lot of maturing to do.

We rarely show but we thought we'd take Napua and Angelica to get our feet wet in the show ring this year. We have never shown Sr. Kids, so it was a good learning experience. (Thanks Linda!) Napua did very well and was shown under 3 different judges, at 4 1/2 months of age. She placed at the top of her class ~ 1st place under two judges, and 2nd place under a third judge. We were very pleased and the judges had so many fantastic comments about her ~ "Outstanding!!" being one. She is so similar to her dam in that she practically set herself up in the show ring, and definately inherited her sire's style. She is a perfect blending of both her gorgeous parents. I am very excited to watch this beauty as she matures. If she has her dam's mammary I'll be thrilled! One adorable trait she got from her dam, is giving kisses! Napua will give kisses, and more kisses! This doe definately holds a special place in my heart and is my favorite 2011 doe kid.

Her pedigree speaks for itself!! Napua is out of our Dual Champion doe, with a final linear appraisal score of 90 at 5 yrs of age, and an AGS Classification score of 92 ~ One of the Highest in the Nigerian Dwarf breed!!! Her dam, MCH/CH Jobi Lacie *D E, also placed #6 for High Milk Production in the nation on her One Day Milk Tests with AGS in 2009, and a two way tie for #6 High Milk in 2010! Also, Napua's Grand Dam on her sires side, AGS Rosasharn's TL Mariposa 3*M AR, placed #2 for High Milk Production in 2009, and #1 for highest ButterFat; and #2 High Protein in the nation!! Napua's sire, *B Rosasharn SP Dakota Skipper Linear Appraised 88 as a yearling. Her pedigree is loaded with milk, and high appraising animals with numerous champions behind her ~ we have very high expectations for this little gal who will freshen for the first time in February 2012.

Nani will remain here for reference for awhile as she has been sold & will be put on 305 DHIR in her new home. Nani has very good general appearance, lots of width, strong feet and legs, great rear leg set, very nice head, gorgeous red coat ~ I'd like to see more dairy character. She was bred to Indy to add length of body and more dairy character, and the cross was beautiful. Nani freshened with a lovely mammary, very nice sized teats, decent MSL, and great capacity. She produced a single buck, that is long bodied, refined, dairy ~ too bad he wasn't a doe! He is here for evaluation and will be offered for sale late 2012. He is light gold, with cream, and blue eyes. Very sweet temperament. Nani's littermate sister, Leilani, freshened in 2011, also with a fabulous mammary ~ large milkable teats, butter soft udder, nice MSL and great capacity.

Kanani as a first freshener, 30 days fresh, (just 12 hrs milk as she is nursing a buck kid)

I loved how this doe looked the moment she was born. Extremely long, sharp and angular as a newborn, I could tell she was a keeper. The only problem was she was reserved before birth, with a 2nd reservation as well. Due to her color, being cream and light gold, both buyers declined! Well, I didn't like her coloring either, but she was just SO nice! I am so happy that she ended up staying here ~ and because she is so nice, I hardly even notice that she isn't flashy. =)

Angelica is a very correct doe, exhibiting excellent dairy character. She is really long bodied and level over her topline, with an extremely correct back, very good feet, front legs, tight toes, and excellent body capacity. She is sharp and angular, with flat bone. I'd like to see a little tighter shoulder assembly, although she is an improvement over her dam in that area. Our 2011 appraiser was very impressed with her ~ as am I!!

Angelica is such a sweet girl, too. Whenever I rake the pen, she likes to jump up on a stump, or spool, and waits patiently for her pets, which she loves. She is a love bug and just a wee bit silly too! =)

We rarely make it to shows, but thanks to a goatie pal, were able to get Napua and Angelica into the show ring this year to see what the judges thought. It was a good learning experience and both girls did very well!! Even though Angelica wasn't thrilled with my idea at all, she was a trooper and placed 2nd and 3rd under 2 different judges at just a little over 3 months old~ both times behind Napua. She is lovely while on the move, which helped her placing in the show ring, since she would never cooperate for the judges in the lineups! Not surprised, as she can be a little stinker for my husband at bed time, LOL

Angelica has been bred to *B Rosasharn BB Senryu. Senryu carries amazing genetics, being the son of the 2010 ADGA National Champion, Rosahsarn's P Haiku 4*M who is also an ADGA Top Ten milker for butterfat and protein. This pairing combines DAIRY and MILK production. Angelica is expecting March 2012. First doe owner reserved.

Willow's Extended Pedigree

Willow is a very pretty, feminine doe, with beautiful general appearance, excellent feet with tight toes, an extremely correct rear leg set, very good forward facing front legs and a beautiful head. Her topline is level and she has a great rear end assembly. If I were to be picky, I'd like to see a tad more dairy character but that may improve with time and freshenings. There is a lot of milk and high appraising animals in Willow's pedigree, as well as ancestors that excell in the show ring. Her maternal Grand Dam is an 8th generation Star milker, who also AGS Classified a 90.4 E, and has one leg towards her champion status in both AGDA & AGS, as well as 2 Reserve Grand Champion wins to her credit. Her dam, Autumn Olive, can be seen on the reference doe page, and has beautiful general appearance, and is milking very well. Autumn will be on milk test in 2012, giving Willow the opportunity to become a 10*D milker in the future!

Willow is very spoiled & adorable ~ she was a bottle baby for part of her life ~ and it shows. She loves to run and jump right into your lap, and follows us everywhere like a puppy.......she is happiest with people, except for hanging out with her bestest friend ~ Angelica. =)

Willow has been bred to *B Rosasharn BB Senryu for March kids. First doe owner reserved. Senryu carries amazing genetics, being the son of the 2010 ADGA National Champion, Haiku. We anticipate that this breeding will improve dairy character and teat size.

ADGA Genetics page

Symphony is a beautiful little doe. Her photo doesn't do her justice. Her body type is different than what I'm used to in my herd, however, at 5 months old, what stands out is that long graceful neck, level topline, and being very stylish and level when she is on the move, her thin dairy skin and open rib spacing, being deep and wide. All in all, a very nice little package wrapped up in a rich, chocolate coat, sporting 2 silver moonspots along her rump, with a very endearing personality to boot. =)

Symphony's Grand dam is one of the nicest does in the Rosasharn herd ~ GCH Rosasharn TL Almond Joy 5*D 5*M, who was the 2010 ADGA National Show 1st place winner in the 5-6 year old class. Symphony's dam, Elskamin is also a beautiful doe who is a permanent Grand Champion with ADGA. She has a capacious mammary, with large, easy to milk teats.

Sympie has been bred to Algedi Farm RB Storm Surge for late April kids.

Emma's ADGA Genetics Page

Little Emmeline is very petite, and feminine, being deep and wide. Nice and level, and a really wide rear leg set and open escutcheon. She is my snuggler. We are just enjoying our baby in the family and seeing her grow up. With her pedigree, I am expecting great things from this little gal! She will freshen in January '13.

Being that she is a full brother/sister breeding, 'Emma' is very tightly line bred on Rosasharn's UMT Hamachi, who was well known for being an udder buck, as well as the beautiful CH Rosasharn TL Zenith 3*D, LA EEVE '90' genetics, having great depth of pedigree evidenced through Emma's dam, who is a finished ADGA Grand Champion, and Emma's sire, Thunderstruck. Both Thunderstruck and Lady Venus are full siblings to CH Algedi Farm H Drops of Jupiter *S LA EEE 91, who now has 3 finished champions to his credit: s SGCH/MCH Algedi Farm DJ Honey Dew 1*M LA2010 EEEE 91; CH Algedi Farm DJ Splash o' Honey LA VVEE 90 (being the dam to our Herdsire, Algedi Farm RB Storm Surge ); and a son, CH Algedi Farm Smokin' Hot Honey *S LA 86 VVV, all having high linear appraisal scores, and who are proving themselves in the milk pail and show ring.

Emma's sire, Algedi Farm H Thunderstruck 'E' is also littermate to SGCH Algedi Farm H Purple Rain 4*D LA 'E' 90, another example of depth of pedigree with another gorgeous relative behind her. Purple Rain also made the AGS One Day Top Ten for High Milk, and milked a whopping 1260 lbs on 305 test!

We certainly anticipate that Emma will follow in the long line of excellent milking and show genetics, as well as high linear appraisals of her illustrious ancestors.

"Be diligent to know the state of your flocks and attend to your herds;
for riches are not forever,
nor does a crown endure to all generations.
When the hay is removed and the tender grass shows itself,
and the herbs of the mountains are gathered in,
the lambs will provide your clothing and the goats the price of a field;
you shall have enough goats' milk for your food,
for the food of your household,
the nourishment of your maid servants."
