Esther was sold in 2010, not because she isn't a beautiful doe, but because she was a total BRAT on the milk stand! She also rejects her buck kids after they are disbudded year after year. I hear she is being a good girl in her new home :o) Esther easily earned her AGS dairy star as a yearling first freshener, at 1.03 yrs of age! She has a very tight front end assembly, (an improvement over her dam), long bodied with very high, sharp withers. Though her rump appears to be steep in this photo, she really levels out on the move & is not steep at all. She has nice general appearance ~ I only wish she had a prettier head. Sugar Maple's udder is butter soft, and she is easy to milk, having nice sized teats and open orifices. She has better teat placement than her dam, but I still wouldn't mind having them be more plumb. She has a very nice udder arch and shape. I'd like to see a stronger MSL. Sugar earned her AGS dairy star on her one day milk test as a 2nd freshener making her a 9th generation AGS star milker!! Her paternal 1/2 sister, Joyful Hearts GD Fayth *D VG (below) made the AGS Top Ten for High Milk Production Awards on one day milk test, placing #5 in 2009, as a 2nd freshener, and milking 4.9#'s. She has a lovely temperment and is an easy kidder and good mother. She is a very pretty doe who is going through that gawky yearling stage right now. She has a very wide escutcheon, very good rear legs. She does toe out and her shoulders could be tighter. Summer freshened in 2011 with a gorgeous mammary with excellent capacity. Summer is the grand daughter of our Permanent Dual Champion doe, MCH/CH Jobi Lacie *D 'E' who has a gorgeous, socked on udder that is very capacious being butter soft and milking down to nothing, with large, easy to milk teats. Her paternal 1/2 sister is Fayth (above) who placed #5 for High Milk in 2009 with AGS. Summer's maternal Grandsire, Fairlea Barnaby Rudge *S is the full brother of ARMCH Fairlea Fleur 3*D 'E', a doe who comes from a long line of ARMCH's having capacious and well attached udders. Summer's dam, Queen Anne's Lace freshened for the first time with a beautiful mammary having great capacity, butter soft udder and large, milkeable teats that express easily. We are sad to see Autumn go, but she has been sold to a herd who will be doing Linear Appraisals in the future. She will go on milk test this summer however, and with the capacity she is showing at only 2 weeks fresh, I think she should earn her 9*D her first freshening.
